Panasonic DMR-ES15S

The DMR-ES15S is a mid-range DVD recorder from Panasonic. The built-in analog TV tuner requires a converter box to work. The unit features composite, S-video, and RF inputs, and records unprotected content to DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, and DVD-RAM.

Only the latter enables 16:9 recording. In addition to recordable formats, the ES15S plays back dual-layer DVD-R/+R, CD-R/RW, MP3-CD audio, and JPEG photos. Composite, S-video, and component outputs are included, as well as an optical digital audio output enabling Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound. The unit's Time Slip feature allows the user to simultaneously record to disc and watch the same recording from an earlier point or another recording on the same disc.
