Product Shot 1The Lorex DXR216161 is a higher-end digital video recorded intended solely for security system use. It can receive and record video from up to 16 different security cameras at once. It comes with a 160GB hard drive, but has a slot for an additional one, and can support a mximum of two 250GB hard drives, for a total of 500GB of video.

The hard drives are removable and can be locked in place with a security door. The DXR216161 triggers and records alarms, and has a quick-search function that finds records based on date, time and whether or not an alarm was triggered. Its inputs include 16-channel composite video and 4 RCA audio inputs, and there are two RCA audio outputs. Other features include picture-in-picture and 2x video zoom. It also has motion detection capabilities. The recorder does not come with any security cameras.
