The Cons:LED always stays on (even in standby), unless you turn power off via switch. Plastic stand doesnt offer enough grip. the case can slide out too easily.

Iomega's DVR Expander is an external hard drive, available in 500GB and 1TB models, which expands the storage capacity of certain digital video recorders. It is designed to work with the Scientific Atlanta Explorer and Pace Americas DVRs, via eSATA, but may work with other eSATA-enabled DVRs and set-top boxes.

The DVR Expander acts as an extension of the hard drive space of the DVR, which automatically adapts to the added storage capacity. The 1TB version provides an additional 300 SD hours or 60 HD hours of storage space. The power adapter's energy efficiency qualifies it for Energy Star certification.
